NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) - Connecticut's Morning Buzz Host Natasha Lubczenko recently met with Shaun Heffernan, Executive Director of Camp Rising Sun, and Robert Alvine, President of Premier Auto Group, who has been a longtime supporter of the camp. Camp Rising Sun offers a unique opportunity for children facing a cancer diagnosis to attend camp for free. "Our kids are special, not because they have cancer, but because they're funny, they're talented, and they're great friends," said Shaun. The camp provides a week of fun at the end of August for children and their siblings, helping them forget their diagnosis and just be kids.

one of four national charities or to our chosen local charity, Meals and
Wheels of Greater Waterbury provided by New Opportunities. New
Opportunities offers a variety of social service programs designed to
eliminate poverty and assist people in need, providing support for
